Through around sixty works of primary importance, the exhibition curated by Walter Guadagnini presents the development of the events of Pop Art in Italy, taking the form of a journey between Rome, Pistoia, Milan, Turin, Palermo and Venice, with a particular focus on the experience of the 1964 Biennale. Among the artists on display Mario Schifano, Tano Festa, Franco Angeli, Mimmo Rotella, Mario Ceroli, Pino Pascali, Fabio Mauri, Jannis Kounellis.
The '60 Pop Art Italia exhibition is organized by Fondazione Pistoia Musei and Fondazione Caript, with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo, the patronage of the Tuscany Region and the Municipality of Pistoia, the collaboration of Visit Pistoia and the Tourist Consortium of the City of Pistoia, thanks to the support of the companies participating in the Pistoia Musei Corporate Membership project.
