Facile ironia. L’ironia nell’arte italiana tra XX e XXI secolo

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Gallery of Modern Art of Bologna, the MAMbo-Modern Art Museum Bologna, part of the city’s museums, presents a large group exhibition Facile ironia. L’ironia nell’arte italiana tra XX e XXI secolo, curated by Lorenzo Balbi and Caterina Molteni. Designed for the spaces of the Sala delleCiminiere, with more than 100 works and archive documents by over 70 artists, the exhibition spans a period of approximately seventy years - from the 1950s to today - aiming to retrace the history of Italian art through the theme of irony. The exhibition is supported by the main sponsor Hera Group and is accompanied by a catalog published by Allemandieditore.
