Fabio Mauri Studio
L’Esperimento del Mondo
Studio Fabio Mauri - Associazione per l’Arte L'Esperimento del Mondo is a nonprofit cultural association Fabio Mauri founded in 2000. After his death, it was run by his brother Achille, together with the artist’s heirs and select historical collaborators. In 2023, Santiago Mauri took over the presidency from his father Achille, with his brother Sebastiano as vice-president.
The association’s Advisory Committee is chaired by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev with Francesca Alfano Miglietti, Caroline Bourgeois, Laura Cherubini and Andrea Viliani. The association is located in Rome a short walk from the Colosseum, in a large space restored by the artist and used as a workshop and warehouse from the early ’00s.
Established to develop art- and education-related activities and projects, after Fabio Mauri’s passing, the association became the artist’s archive and estate, looking after, conserving and cataloguing works, archiving photographs and documents, appraising and issuing authentication certificates, and promoting projects oriented toward spreading Fabio Mauri’s thinking and work.
