Interno/Esterno (1990)
Interno/Esterno [Inside/Outside] is presented at the Galleria Carini in Florence in 1990.
The artist’s house, with its furniture, its books, its various ornaments, is here recreated. The pieces of furniture - the Armchair, the Chandelier, the Carpets or the Bathroom (above the bath tub there is the digitalized oil painting of a man whose naked body is attacked by the medical devices used during a check-up) - alternate with white paintings with the writing “Without art”.
The installation Inside varies each time it is recreated. For Outside, the words “On the Liberty” are written on a white wall with a black wire which, plugged in an electric socket, gives light to a beautiful Liberty-style lamp. (Dora Aceto)
